quarters, 2.1-2.3, may all equate to decay of a #Nova?? like eruption.
these are not star spots!! references back to the 1940s interpret them as eclipsing binaries
Quarters 2.1-2.3 are all apparently decay periods with with respect to the pattern of the binary system.
This might equate to #Masstransfer from one star to the other in a common envelope situation, or they may have erupted in sequence.
Of interest is that the higher peak is initially on the right hand side of the twined peak pattern, but by end has shifted to the left.
These eclipses lead to an estimate of about ~6 day system full rotation #period.
Primary #eclipses are at days 2, 8, 14, 20, 26 and 32. secondary or alternate eclipses at days 5, 10.5, 17, 23 and 29.
In quarter 1.0, is a #sinusoidal pattern with alternating eclipse depths and peak heights indicative of an unstable #eclipsingbinay.
