Hi,

Sorry for the slow reply. I'm co-hosting and co-organizing a workshop on Citizen Science in Astronomy this week and yesterday was the first day so I've been pretty much off email. I got an email the Chicago Zooniverse HQ folks are on it. I got an email about 6 hours saying they were looking into it. Is it still happening?

Hiya Meg

Yes I can confirm It is still occurring. Currently I'm only getting 2-3 LC's which I'm able to classify then The 'spinner' well, It kind of just perpetually spins away! when i refresh, the same message occurs each time: "failed to get light curve data" I've had this problem for apx a week.

thanks

It seems to be better now. I got about 15 LC's in a row without any problems.

@zoo3Hans

I'm really jealous! I'd gladly give all i own to a charity of your choice for 15! Have you got privileged access? Saying that, i managed 7 today so maybe you're right! :~}

I've had no more problems today. Everything seems to be back in working order, at least for me.

Oh no, it seems to start again:

failed to get light_curve datahttp://s3.amazonaws.com/ph-stars-production/APHF1040805.json

failed to get light_curve datahttp://s3.amazonaws.com/ph-stars-production/APHF1088275.json

(but not so frequent as yesterday)

We know what the issue is, just need to sort why it happened. Some of the stars for Q16 the curves failed in processing so we don't have files for the light curves but the database has filenames for them so when searching for another light curve. We should have that shut off now, I will talk to the Zooniverse technical lead today when I see him at the workshop in a few hours.

Cheers,
