Zooniverse Oxford is hosting an afternoon of discussion inspired by our astronomical projects. Whether you're interested in astronomical objects near, far, or in between, we'd love it if you joined us. After the afternoon discussions, we'll head over to the Royal Oak for a social evening where it all began.

See more details and sign up for tickets at http://zoocon2013.eventbrite.co.uk/ -- the tickets are free, but we have limited space and need to tell both the physics department and the pub how many people are coming.

See you there!

A group of us meet last year in the Denys Wilkinson Astrophysics department of Oxford University.

I've copied a post over from SSW and Moonzoo : please come along. If it is just as good as last years meet-up, you will have a fun day ! :-D

We listened to several talks about a number of zooniverse projects and ended up in the pub where the zooniverse was born - The Royal Oak, Oxford. This year it's bigger (and a little more formal). Details are on the Galazy Zoo forum here. Ticketing information is here /url Come and join in - we're a very friendly bunch and would love to see some new faces.

Just a quick note to say that I hear there are plans for there to be a short talk/update on Planet Hunters at ZooCon. Also it's free, the ticket is just to reserve a space and so you can get into the Oxford Physics building.

Cheers,

~Meg

Yes, just to reiterate, all are welcome. I have been to a good few zoo meet ups and would recommend going if at all possible. You can post over here in this thread or over on GZ here any questions that you may have.

Thanks for posting this Jean, I hope that the Planet Hunters like it too!! Maybe there's some of you that can make it over to Oxford (England) There's quite a lot of excitement about this event over on GZ. All welcome. :)

Very nice. Wish I could make it, but I have commitments this summer, plus I might bring more rain. Last time I was in the UK was June 2008 which also turned out to be the wettest summer on record.

BUT... I want a T-shirt with the logo!
